The Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) Started since 1978 and has since earned the disticntion as the most prestigious Philippine scientific conference. The NAST Transactions, composed of papers presented in the ASM, is annual journal of the Academy. NAST also publishes books and monographs based on the studies of its members and other renowed scientists. The ASM was preceded by a series of roundtable discussions during which the Academy examined and discussed critical issues and concerns The outcomes of these RTDs were presented and discussed in the ASM Plenary Sessions.
Objectives:
- To ventilate, discuss, clarify and expound S&T issues and use the results to formulate policies or implementing guidelines
- To serve as venue for the presentation of S&T breakthroughs
- To provide analyses and science-based solutions/policy recommendations to the government, the private sector and society at large
