In recognition of her
significant contributions in the fields of radiation
biology, biophysics, and health physics (environmental
radioactivity). Results of her researches have been
useful in understanding the role of the fibrinolytic
system in hemorrhagic tendency as seen in radiation
sickness. Her works have been useful also in
determining levels and sources of radioactivity in the
Philippine environment as well as the radiation doses
received by Filipinos.
