BICUTAN, TAGUIG CITY — The Philippine Science Heritage Center (PSHC), under the management of the National Academy of Science and Technology, Philippines (NAST PHL), will conduct the “Meet Your Scientist (MYS): Exploring the Philippine Space Science Programs” on 30 September 2021, 10:00 AM, via Zoom and Facebook Live.

In celebration of the World Space Week 2021, with the theme “Women In Space”, PSHC invited Dr. Maricor Soriano, program leader of STAMINA4Space and 2006 Outstanding Young Scientist (OYS) awardee, to talk about building stamina for space. Dr. Gay Jane Perez, Deputy General Director of Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) and 2021 OYS awardee, is also invited to talk about building a space ecosystem. Dr. Betchaida Payot, Assistant Professor from the University of the Philippines Diliman and 2020 OYS awardee, will moderate the said event.

In this event, renowned Filipino scientists are invited to share their knowledge and experiences on the chosen topic. It also serves as a platform to encourage the youth to pursue a career path in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), increase awareness of the young minds on space science, and celebrate the contribution and knowledge of the Filipino scientists.Interested participants may still register at https://bit.ly/MYSSpaceScience. e-Certificates will be given to those who registered and attended the webinar.
