BICUTAN, TAGUIG CITY - This March, the National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST PHL) will hold the NAST Innovation Series, a three-part webinar series showcasing how the physical and life sciences provide innovative solutions to address food security and climate change in the country.The webinar series acknowledges the thrust of the Philippine scientific community to promote high-level innovation as a major driver of socio-economic development. It aims to promote open innovation, a concept that encourages de-siloing and active collaboration within, outside, and among organizations.

03072024 Publicity Material NAST Innovation SeriesThrough the series, NAST scientists, awardees, and experts will share their innovations with fellow researchers, policymakers, government officials, and the general public, thus promoting cross-sectoral and interdisciplinary discussions and partnerships.

The first part of the NAST Innovation series will be on 13 March 2024 and will focus on the current innovation ecosystem in the Philippines and possible alternatives. Succeeding webinars on 20 and 27 March 2024 will spotlight innovations addressing food security and climate change, respectively. Insights to be garnered during the series aim to provide guidance in strengthening the national innovation policy in the country. Insights will also be collated and discussed for possible inclusion at the upcoming National Innovation Council meeting.
