BICUTAN, TAGUIG CITY – The National Academy of Science and Technology, Philippines will conduct the 2025 NAST PHL Leadership Summit (Future Science Leaders’ Congress) on March 28-29, 2025 in Alabang, Muntinlupa City.

The 2025 NAST PHL Leadership Summit, with the theme “Empower & Uplift: Learning Self-Care and Caring for Others,” is a 2-day event composed of plenary sessions, panel discussions, and workshops intended for Future Science Leaders’ Forum (FSLF) alumni from 2014-2024. It aims to encourage the participants to adapt to the new concepts and skills of the 21st Century, enhance the existing personal and professional networks, further strengthen the link between different organizations and sectors, and promote a culture of service and philanthropy of time and expertise.

Academician Jaime C. Montoya, President of NAST PHL, will commence the event with his welcome message. Eight (8) esteemed resource speakers are invited to share their knowledge, experiences, and expertise. They are:

  • National Scientist Carmencita D. Padilla, Member of the NAST PHL Health Sciences Division, Focal Person of the Future Science Leaders’ Forum, and former Chancellor of the UP Manila
  • Academician Reynaldo B. Vea, Member of the NAST PHL Engineering Sciences and Technology Division, former President of the Mapúa University, and CEO of iPeople, Inc.
  • Dr. Raul V. Destura, Deputy Director of the Department of Strategic Initiatives and Emerging Programs at UP Manila
  • Ms. Mikaela Luisa Carmen R. Teves, Executive Director at the Samahan ng mga Pilipina para sa Reporma at Kaunlaran (SPARK!)
  • Dr. Beverly Lorraine C. Ho, Chief Health Officer at Ayala Healthcare Holdings Inc. and former Assistant Secretary of the Department of Health
  • Dr. Erika Fille T. Legara, Chief AI and Data Officer at the Center for AI Research
  • Coach Anne Bernice Dy, Managing Director and Certified Strengths Coach at Habi Learning Lab
  • Mr. Raphael Santos, Mental Health Program Lead at MedGrocer

The FSLF has served as a dynamic community of future leaders for the past 10 years. Through this summit, they will be able to foster meaningful connections and collaborations, providing an opportunity for personal growth, new insights, leadership skills, and a renewed sense of purpose.
