Project Technical Assistant VI (2024-17-GF-Recognition-PTAS6)

Position/Job Description:
  1. Planning and development of new computer systems and application of existing systems’ resources to additional operation;
  2. Designing new systems, including both hardware and software, and addition of new software application to maximize computer efficiency;
  3. Systems architecture development and presentation;
  4. Develop and assist in the upgrading or enhancement of NAST Information Systems;
  5. Conducts user’s orientation or training on the development of web application and information systems;
  6. Specifies the inputs to be accessed by the system, design the processing steps, and format the output to meet users’ needs;
  7. Determines what computer hardware and software will be needed to set the system up;
  8. Coordinates tests and observe the initial use of the system to ensure that it performs as planned;
  9. Prepares specifications, flow charts and process diagrams for computer programmes to follow;
  10. Works with programmers to “debug”, or eliminate, errors from the system;
  11. Software quality assurance analysis;
  12. Diagnose problems, recommends solutions, and determines whether program requirements have been met;
  13. Assists in drafting and development of IT/IS Technical documents and user manual;
  14. Develops and maintains IT/IS documents, user manual, guidelines, and other documentation; and
  15. Performs other related function.
Skills/Competencies required:
  • With excellent oral and written communication;
  • With excellent writing skills;
  • Knowledgeable in computer office applications;
  • Able to multi-task and work under pressure with minimum supervision;
  • Must have strong analytical skills; and
  • Team-player and has positive working attitude, commitment and dedication.
Other Skills/Competencies:
  • Proficient with Web Server, PHP/MYSQL and Linux based Systems;
  • Proficient with web development using development languages including but not limited to PHP, CSS, HTML, and Javascript;
  • Working knowledge in web development using PHP and Codelgniter/Laravel Framework
 
Qualifications:
  • Relevant Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology or any related courses
  • Relevant Experience: At least One (1) year or relevant experience
  • Relevant Training: At least Four (4) hours of relevant training
  • Eligibility: Not required
 
Compensation: P43,943.00/month
Period of engagement: 1 June – 31 December 2024
