  • Experience : Four (4) years of supervisory/management experience

Position/Job Description:
The Chief Science Research Specialist (SRS) shall exercise direct surpevision over the division, conduct research in all legal fields of interest of the SCS, and promptly respond to legal issues and concerns.
  1. Directly report to the Scientific Career Council (SCC) Executive Secretary and the SCC Technical Working Committee;
  2. Ensure that the decisions of the SCC are implemented in coordiantion with the Executive Secretary;
  3. Prepare and submit the division's budgetary requirements to the Budget Officer in coordination with the Executive Secretary and division members;
  4. Establish, improve, and uphold SCS policies, guidelines, procedures aligned with the strategic plans of the SCS and NAST;
  5. Ensure all SCS transactions, operations, policies, and procedures are valid, binding, and enforceable;
  6. Review and draft memoranda, resolutions, appointment letters, SCS orders, and other official SCS documents;
  7. Update, manage, monitor, and secure the integrity of SCS documentation;
  8. Monitor the conferment process and ensure compliance with EO 17 s. 2023 and other applicable rules and regulations;
  9. Ensuring that SCS interests are protected under the law; and
  10. Perform other functions as may be required by the SCC.
