As climate change continues to intensify flooding, coastal erosion, and other environmental threats across Cagayan Valley and its neighboring provinces, more than a hundred representatives from local governments, national agencies, academic institutions, civil society organizations, and Indigenous Peoples convened in Cauayan City, Isabela on 29-20 July 2026 during the KLIMA (Luzon Cluster 2): Workshop on Regional Assessment of Climate Risks and Vulnerabilities.

Charting a path toward an AI-enabled healthcare system, the National Academy of Science and Technology, Philippines (NAST PHL) conducted a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on Digital Health and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Healthcare on 1 June 2026 in the City of Manila. The activity forms part of the initiatives of the Technical Working Group (TWG) on Applications of Advanced Technology in the Delivery of Health Care Services under the Special Concerns Program (SCP).

The National Academy of Science and Technology, Philippines (NAST PHL), in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Regional Offices in Mindanao led by DOST–Caraga, successfully convened scientists, researchers, government officials, policymakers, industry leaders, and development stakeholders for the 2026 Mindanao Regional Scientific Meeting (RSM) on 19–20 May 2026 at Hotel Oazis in Butuan City, Agusan del Norte.
