The National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) has opening for the following position:
Position Title : Science Research Specialist II

Salary/Salary Grade : ₱45,694.00 per month/SG-16
 
Qualification Requirements:
  • Education : Bachelor's degree relevant to the job
  • Experience : One (1) year of relevant experience
  • Training : Four (4) hours of relevant training
  • Eligibility : Career Service (Professional)/Second Level Eligibility
 
Position/Job Description:
The SRS II shall check and pre-screen all SCS and DOST application documents and shall handle all promotional requirements of the SCS.
  1. Check and pre-screen SCS and DOST application documents;
  2. Process yearly performance ratings of active career scientists and refer these to the concerned STCs for evaluation;
  3. Prepare agenda folders and presentations for the SCC, STCs, TWG, and DOST-SCEC meetings;
  4. Draft minutes of the meeting of STCs and DOST-SCEC;
  5. Prepare and respond to communications and quiries related to SCS;
  6. Provide secretariat support to the Philippine Association of Career Scientists, Inc. (PACS);
  7. Organize the annual meeting and scientific forum of scientists;
  8. Organize and conduct oath-taking ceremony;
  9. Organize and conduct promotional activities to increase the number of conferred scientists;
  10. Assist in creating and implementating training and development programs for the scientists;
  11. Conduct research on marketing and promotion plans for the SCS;
  12. Prepare detailed marketing and promotional plans of the SCS;
  13. Assist in the creation of training and development program of the career scientists;
  14. Conduct surveys for SCS activities and analyze results;
  15. Maintain database and simple analytics of SCS members, including monitoring scientific accomplishments;
  16. Customize and enhance the SCS database;
  17. Prepare articles, press releases, souvenir program, and reports for the SCS Bulletin, SCS website and media; and
  18. Perform other functions as may be required.

  4. Photocopy of the certificate of CSC eligibility/PRC license;
  5. Photocopy of transcript of records; and
  6. Photocopy of certificate of training.
