Position/Job Description:
  1. Assist in the planning and execution of social media campaigns related to the Philippine Science Heritage Center projects;
  2. Manage the social media accounts of the Philippine Science Heritage Center projects;
  3. Prepare appropriate communication materials to promote the different activities of the projects;
  4. Provide overall assistance to the PAGTANAW 2050 project;
  5. Assist in the conduct of activities of the assigned projects;
  6. Help in the analysis and interpretation of research results;
  7. Assist in project-related activities such as but not limited to policy fora, roundtable discussions, focused group discussions, and seminars of NAST PHL;
  8. Prepare required reports, including press releases, minutes of meetings, and other writing needs;
  9. Maintain records and files of work and revisions; and
  10. Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors and project leaders.

  • Interpersonal skills – works well in a team and able to communicate/deal effectively
  • Written communication skills – writes well-organized and clear press releases, social media postings, and reports
  • Oral communication skills – able to talk to others, to give and exchange ideas and information clearly and effectively
  • Organizational skills – manages and organizes one to two events at the same time
  • Problem-solving skills – uses good judgement and resolves problems/concerns regarding assigned tasks
  • Strong creative and visual design skills
  • Ability to simplify complex scientific concepts for young audiences
  • Photo and video editing skills
  • Proficient in social media management tools and design software
  • With experience in social media management, digital marketing, or any related role
Qualifications:
  • Relevant Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Education, Science Communication, or any related field
  • Relevant Experience: None required
  • Relevant Training: None required
  • Eligibility: None required
Compensation: P37,584.00/month
Period of engagement: 15 June – 31 August 2024
